In My Tree of Life…(a metaphor)

…it’s fall.

Spring was sweet. The leaves were tender, plump - free of flaws - and so easily bruised.

In summer, the leaves are firm, branches held high, and not so easily damaged. And the branches tend to shelter the neighborhood’s creatures.

Fall. I am at my best. Sure, things are hanging a little lower (a lot lower) and life shows on the bark. But check out my leaves! During the tender plump perfection of spring we’re tending to our birds and bees - and it’s lovely. But seriously, check out my beautiful leaves! The red, orange, purple, gold and browns - those are the expressions of my life.

This show is for me. And I’m beautiful.
